De behandeling bij een oorcorrectie

De operatie kan onder plaatselijke verdoving worden uitgevoerd. Daarbij kunt u een kalmerend middel krijgen waardoor u licht versuft en slaperig bent tijdens de operatie. De plastisch chirurg maakt een incisie aan de achterkant van de oorschelp. Het kraakbeen is gemoduleerd, het oor wordt naar achteren gebracht en in de nieuwe positie vastgezet. Het oor wordt met oplosbare hechtingen gehecht. Na afloop van de operatie wordt het hoofd in een tulbandverband gestoken waarna u zonder problemen naar huis kunt. De ingreep neemt een uur in beslag.
