Doctor Balvers, before beginning her training as an ophthalmologist, completed a doctoral research on coagulation and transfusion in trauma patients at the AMC and then worked as a physician assistant in surgery at the OLVG. During her training as an ophthalmologist, she studied the subfields of cataract and oculoplastic surgery. She has been working as an ophthalmologist at Bergman Clinics since 2022.
