What are marisks?

Skin flaps at the anus, or marisks, are benign skin appendages around the anus. Marisks, therefore, are not hemorrhoids. Generally, marisks do not cause any symptoms, but because feces can remain in them, they can be a cause of skin irritation and anal itching.
