Surgeon Annelien is trained as a gastroenterological and oncological surgeon. She has worked at hospitals in Gouda, Leiden and The Hague, among other places. She has also conducted research on the surgical treatment of rectal cancer.
Since early 2022, Annelien has been working at the Roosevelt Clinic in Leiden and enjoys performing minor surgical procedures that can take place under local anesthesia. In addition, she treats proctological "problems. It is nice to have time for my patients and to put everyone at their ease as much as possible. Especially with proctological problems, patients can experience embarrassment, and I see it as my job to make sure that in addition to good treatment, everyone leaves the (treatment) room feeling good.
