The preparation

Een borstlift is, mits op juiste wijze uitgevoerd bij de daarvoor aangewezen cliënt, een veilige ingreep. Toch bestaat er (zoals bij elke operatie) de kans op complicaties, met name als de behandeling wordt gecombineerd met andere (esthetische) correcties.

Algemene operatierisico’s zijn nabloeding, infectie, vochtophoping, trombo-embolieën, vertraagde wondgenezing en overtollige littekenvorming. Daarnaast zijn er specifiek bij deze operatie behorende risico’s, zoals gevoelsverandering in de tepel (meestal tijdelijk van aard) en het ontstaan van littekens rond en onder de tepel. Zoals bij iedere dubbelzijdige ingreep is absolute symmetrie niet te garanderen.
