Customer appreciation Anneke van Engeland
Doctor Anneke van Engeland received her medical training at the VU medical center in Amsterdam. After working for a period as assistant physician in general surgery at the OLVG hospital in Amsterdam, she transferred to the department of plastic, reconstructive and aesthetic surgery at the VU medical center Amsterdam.
In 2002, she began her training as a plastic surgeon. The first 2 years, the general surgical part, was followed at the Rijnland hospital in Leiderdorp. In 2004 this was continued with 4 years of plastic specialization again at the VU medical center.
During specialization, part of the training was done at Tergooiziekenhuizen in Hilversum and at the Antonie van Leeuwenhoek Hospital in Amsterdam. In the latter hospital, the interest in the breast reconstructive part of plastic surgery was particularly aroused.
In July 2008, Dr. Van Engeland completed her training as a plastic surgeon and has been working as a plastic surgeon at Antonius Hospital in Nieuwegein since that time. In addition to general plastic surgery, her main area of focus here is breast reconstructive care.
In addition to this aspect of the profession, Drs. van Engeland has participated several times in a mission to India with the IntReS Foundation. There, patients with harelip, burns and congenital anomalies are mainly operated on.
She has been working as a plastic surgeon at Bergman Clinics since January 2010. She works at the offices in Hilversum and Bilthoven.
